Stop thief!!

Yesterday, I went for my treatment and was already running late. Just before I got in, a lady across the road was screaming at a guy with glasses and a cap who was carrying some kind of machine, a till perhaps?? I was abit fazzled as seems alll happening abit quickly. A chinese man was shouting at her and I guess dialling his phone to get the police?

The guy seems a little calm though he was rushing to get the machine in the car....a silver Toyota Corolla! The lights were red and my instincts told me to memorise the car number plate which I did!! So sad as I always remember car number plates when I would much rather remember birthdays!!! Was unsure what to do next...write it down....give the lady my support...or......or dont get involved. All this was going on in circles in my head as I head in for my appointment!!!

Feeling guilty when I left my appointment but saw a police car in front of the florist, without hestitation I went in and told the police what I saw. The owner was a shaken older guy who just kept thanking me for giving more hopefully valuable information.

I hope I have helped someone.....it felt good anyway!

Chinese treatment in the early morning on Saturday then my first born's indoor netball match. Then washing, cleaning catching up with the chores at home as being a full time employee doesnt leave much time for relaxation!!

Sunday, my second born's soccer presentation all morning then am cooking roast for some friends who are over from Melbourne!! So looking forward to catching up with them but heck....when am I going to have a chance to relax!?!? Might have a spare 4 minutes somehwere!!

Face Painting

I helped out with face painting at my girl's school Fun Day on Saturday! It was my first attempt and I had an enjoyable day seeing all the kids faces when they look at the mirrors after the painting was done!
It was on the hottest day in September and luckily we sat under the trees as you can see in the picture!!
Woof Woof!

Another whinge from me!

http://www.888dag.com/

I organised to get Yellow Fever injection ready for my trip to Sierra Leone, my birthplace, in November.

I got to the Medical Centre and was giving details to the receptionist. She asked me for my phone number and I said I didnt have one. No point in giving my mobile if I cant answer them!! She gave me a funny look as if so say no one walks around with a phone. I explained that I was Deaf therefore it would be useless giving a phone number if I cant answer it. She asked if I had another number like next of kin or a friend's. Well my next of kin is my husband who is also Deaf. Most of my close friends are Deaf so....pointless!!! Eventually she agreed to leave this part blank!

She asked me to wait so I did. I read a book and then about 45 minutes went by...thought..mmm...abit long for my liking so I went up to the reception to ask how much longer. She said she already called my name but I didn't hear her so she put be back down to the bottom of the queue. What a cheek!!

So, I thought to myself, breathe, breathe, breathe. Ok fine I ll just go back to my very warm seat and wait for my turn!! Another hour went past and I thought enough was enough. I asked at reception again to see if my name was any closer and she said that it would be about 20 minutes. I asked why some people who came after me was going before me?? She said they gave priority to private patients!!! F^cking hell! Why didn't they explain that to me so I can be totally prepared!! Now considering signing up with a health fund.

Back to my seat and this time I watched very hard to the receptionist each time she called out a name and it was mine!!! Hurrah!

Had a doctor who was Indian....has an extremely difficult Indian accent and communicating was hard...she was not willing to write down what she was saying so I got abit miffed with her! She started yelling at me and I explained she didnt need to yell just talk and I will do my best...didnt get very far but managed to reach to the point when we both agreed I just needed Yellow Fever injection and told me to go and wait by the door. There were 7 doors...which one....I asked which one and she just quickly pointed...still unclear...so I knocked on each door until the 3rd one!

Waited there for 5 minutes then a nurse came in mumbling away. Please....please!!! She was finally easy to follow and gave me the needle!! Arrgghh! But after 2.5 hours it was done and she said it was compulsory for me to sit outside the room for half an hour to ensure my body was taking it ok......god....couldn't wait another minute in that surgery!!!

So, thats my another whinge....another day....another obstacle over and done with!!! Breathe breathe breathe!!!

We rebuilt our house and been researching for plants for our garden as its going to be an expensive job. Got a quote that was 6 times more than we budgeted so decided to do it ourselves. Started looking in Ebay and discovered this site Plant Inspirations and got a quote back which was a fantastic price!! Thought to share this with you guys. Mind you it is pretty limited but good for people who just want a very low maintenance garden and knows very little about plants!!

This evening...

http://www.888dag.com/

Going to be a busy evening!

Will be picking up a friend from Meadowbank Wharf in 22 minutes so thought to make use of the next 22 minutes!!

Hubby is on his way home from Newcastle...poor thing as he hoped to leave there at 1pm but nope...left at 4pm!! Will be stuck in traffic then has to drop work car to Parramatta before heading home.

I have to cook the famous chicken parmigiana with steamed vegies for dinner which will be at 6.30pm! At 6pm I have to make a snack for my first born who has Hip Hop tonight at 7.15pm for 45 minutes as the dinner will be too late for her as dont want her to throw it up...would have been such a waste!!

Then bring her home and get both girls in the bath and bed by 8.30...usual bedtime is 8 but because of her class ending at 8pm have to make an allowance for her to get ready. They are definitely not complaining!

Once that is done will have a nice glass of wine and catch up with this friend of ours who is staying as coming down from Brisbane for a few days!

Better go and pick him now.....xx

Netball...netball...and more netball!!!

http://www.888dag.com/

My first born won her first Grand Final netball match last Saturday!!! God! What a match!!! Each quarter drew each time until they finally won 27 to 23!!! It was fantastic when the bell went...actually...went on a few minutes extra time. When the first bell went, the coach of the other team was so livid as everyone thought the bell meant the match ended thus wasting a few of their seconds to hope to catch up and win (no chance!).

Then when the time was up....all the girls ran and their mums....including myself of course!!! We ran up making a fool of ourselves without a care in the world hugging our daughters first then everyone....everyone....all the players....their mums...their dads....the coach....manager....the mascot even!!! It was a fantastic moment of happiness for everyone involved especially against that team. We last played them in the Semis and again that match was amazing...drew every quarter then full time then extra time....then extra time until we finally won two points up so they played in total 1 hour and 40 minutes!!!

My baby was also selected in the reps squad!! She was abit apprehensive as none of her friends are selected. At this age her friends are the most important people in their lives. I have discussed with her that she needs to open up her world and meet more and new people as it will do her a world of good! At the moment her world is very small so hopefully this will be a start of her exploring the wonderful world we live in!!!
